Yes! If your event runs over several days — such as a weekend fair at Rufford Abbey, a weekly class in Beeston or a month-long exhibition in a Mansfield library— you can easily set start and end dates in the app. Recurring events can be added using the 'Specific Dates' option, for up to five separate occurrences.
Unlike Facebook groups, where posts get buried quickly, What’s Local shows your event directly on a map — making it easy for people nearby to find it. Users can filter by date, category and location, so your event doesn’t disappear down a timeline. It’s a clearer, more local-focused way to get noticed across Nottinghamshire.
Most community, business and social events are welcome, but events must be appropriate, legal, and suitable for general audiences in Nottinghamshire. Adult-only events, offensive content, or anything promoting illegal activity will be removed.
Spotted something you don't think is appropriate? Click the 'Report' flag at the bottom to let us know about it.

What’s Local makes it easy for people in Nottinghamshire to discover your event. Your listing appears on an interactive map where users can search by keyword, date, category or location. Upgrading to a Premium listing gives your event top-banner visibility, helping you reach more people, boost attendance and stand out from similar events.
Premium Listings include everything in a Standard Event Listing but also place your event at the top of the app’s banner and appear over a wider area, giving you maximum exposure. They’re ideal for popular events, business promotions or anything you want more eyes on in Nottinghamshire. You simply choose your Premium duration when posting your event.
